Honey Jalapeño Bacon Belly In Bao Buns

 

A spicy flavoursome combination.

 
 

A modern on-trend snack combining crispy bacon with spicy and sour Kimchi in fluffy bao buns.

Serves 2.

 
 

Ingredients:

4 Bao Buns

8 rashers Unsmoked Streaky Bacon

100ml Honey

1 Diced Jalapeño Chilli

80g Kimchi

Coriander to dress

METHOD:

Warm a large frying pan and add a dash of vegetable oil, cook the bacon until just starting to caramelise.

At this point add the honey and chilli into the pan and coat the bacon for the last 2-3 minutes of the cooking time.

In the meantime, cook the bao buns as specified.

To assemble the bao buns, take 4 buns and load with a spoonful of kimchi, place 2 rashers of honey chilli bacon and top with a sprig of coriander.

Drizzle with any honey remaining in the pan.
